GREG REYNOLDS:

Greg Reynolds started his career in the Army serving in the 145th Aviation Battalion.
 
He served a 3-year tour of duty with the Army in Vietnam from 1968- 1971.   He was a member of the Cambodian Campaign, the Malaysian Search and Rescue Team, and received the Bronze Star and a Presidential Citation for his service. He earned a Secret Security Clearance and served as the Battalion Photographer.
 
After performing a few other jobs (he sold DIAMONDS!), he joined the Denver Sheriff's Department in 1977 and retired from there in October, 2007 after 30 years of service.
 
·        Worked in the Fugitive Detail and Warrant Section
·        Certified as a Forensic Photographer
·        Served on the international and intrastate Extradition Team
·        Trained in Psychological Counselling as the leader of a 22-man team of Peer Support Officers
·        Served as a member of a Presidential Candidate Security Team 1990-91
 
After retirement for a brief period of time (he got bored), he returned to Law Enforcement by joining the Federal Security team for the state of Colorado under the contract run first by Am-Gard then Deco Security Services. Today he serves as the Captain of the uniformed-division of Deco.
 
He was certified as a NRA Pistol Safety Instructor earlier this year and conducts training and coaching for the current DECO staff.

DAVID HEMINGWAY:

  • David has almost 30 years of professional teaching experience  and has taught thousands of students from all walks of life.  He operated a martial arts school in the 80's and early 90's, attaining black belt certification in 3 systems, in addition to competing at the national amateuer and professional levels.
  • Hemingway then transitioned into law enforcement, where he spent 14 years as a officer and detective, being awarded officer of the year, team member and community policing awards, in addition to numerous letters of commendations.
  • Hemingway also held various collateral assignments, including, SWAT (11 years) and department firearms and arrest control instructor (12 years).
  • Hemingway is one of the long time and current lead instructors for the annual Swat Operator’s Immersion Course and is a graduate of numerous law enforcement related handgun, shotgun and rifle courses including, a three-time graduate of Clint Smith’s Thunder Ranch, advanced sniper training under the American Sniper Association and Operational Tactics, NRA Law Enforcement instructor certification for the precision rifle, handgun and shotgun, instructor handgun training from Colorado Law Enforcement Instructors Association and Judicious Use of Deadly Force instructor certification from Maasad Ayoob’s Lethal Force Institute.
  • Hemingway is also a certified instructor in the baton, as well as First Aid/CPR/AED.  Hemingway has a bachelor’s degree from Colorado Christian University, is currently working on his master’s degree and trains contract security personnel.

KEVIN HUNTER

  • Hunter has over 13 years of military experience and is currently a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer. 
  • He has worked as a non-lethal weapons instructor for soldiers, sailors and airmen deploying in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.
  • Hunter also has real-world experience in high threat close protection as the Team Leader for a Personal Security Detachment in Iraq for high-ranking military and government officials.
  • During his active duty, Hunter deployed multiple times as a member of a Special Operations Task Force to both Iraq and Afghanistan.
  • Currently Hunter is a certified weapons instructor for a private security firm supplying arm security for Federal sites in the State of Colorado.
